This real and serious problem demands from us a serious response. It is easy to say, and pretend at it does not exist, but it does exist, and we have to tackle it on a war footing before abduction, rape or murder happens in our family. Acknowledging e problem for ourselves and pointing and naming it, is an important first step in solving e problem in is transforming spirituality and to admit at in e face of one's addiction, we refuse to admit and are powerless to address is problem. Young people are worst victims of is malaise gripping e world today, as eir emotions are directed to e lustful desires and sensual oughts, which can totally destroy e person. To exploit is weakness of e youngsters ere are some anti social and greedy elements in e society which in order to make some money are hell-bent on destroying e you. The porn movies available on TV channels, Internet, Video Disc, besides obscene books and magazines are all eir contribution. The saddest part is at, when one is trapped in it, instead of trying to get out he /she tries to drag some more people into e same trap. Our society seems to have not taken seriously at all is books, magazine, movies arouses sexual desires, at are dormant and delicate in you. They set em aflame and affect eir intellect in leaving em completely lost and causing lack of concentration in eir studies and in eir carrier and destroy eir future. The youngsters erefore need to be made aware of eir folly and be guided on e right pa rough proper knowledge regarding sexual matters. Prices are rising and so on. Amidst all is where should our focus be and what we can do at each Individual level. The bible advises us in Philippians Chap 4 verse 6 Do not be anxious about anying but in everying by PRAYER and petition wi anksgiving present your request to God. It is sad to see people reading e newspaper before reading e word of God. Our first priority in e morning must be to feed ourselves wi e word of God en e word of e world. Secondly, we need to pray e family rosary daily, as at is e most powerful weapon Moer Mary has given us. Do not neglect it but say along wi e family. Thirdly, let us spend more time in e presence of e Lord in e Blessed Sacrament. Every person of e Caolic fai in our village must make it a determined effort as fast as possible to make time to kneel and pray before e Blessed Sacrament. There is no excuse and no oer way out. Fourly, take part in e Holy mass as often as possible. It is e Lord s banquet which gives us e streng. Finally, let us work to promote Communal harmony in our vaddos and neigbourhood. We do have so many celebrations, like birdays, feast, anniversaries, gaerings and oer functions. Invite e people of oer fais to your celebrations. When we have sports meets, annual gaerings, inaugurations, let us call people of oer fais as a Guest of honour or special invitee etc., all is will bring about communal harmony. 16 Febrer 2020 BHORVANSO 16 ASH WEDNESDAY Ash Wednesday, also called Day of Ashes marks e beginning of Lent. All over e world, Christians unite on Ash Wednesday wi repentance, rejection of sin, renewal of fai, to Jesus Christ and renewal of life wi God, usually rough personal confession, fasting, reflections penance etc.. It's a kick start for e Liturgical season of Lent to begin afresh a renewed relationship wi e Lord and prepare ourselves for Christ's Resurrection on Easter Sunday, rough which we attain redemption. In e Old Testament ashes were used for two purposes, as a sign of humility and mortality, and as a sign of sorrow and repentance for sin. The Christians connotation for ashes in e liturgy of Ash Wednesday has been adopted from is Old Testament biblical custom. When we come forward to receive ashes on our forehead on Ash Wednesday, we are saying at we are sorry for our sins, and at we want to use e season of Lent to correct our faults, purify our hearts, control our desires and grow in holiness so we will be prepared to celebrate Easter wi great joy The ashes we receive symbolizes at we mourn and do penance for our sins. It's time to convert again our hearts to e Lord, who suffered, died and rose for our salvation. We renew e promises made at our baptism, when we died to an old life and rose to a new life wi Christ. While e ashes symbolize penance and contrition, ey are also a reminder at God is gracious and merciful to ose who call on Him wi repentant hearts. His Divine mercy is of utmost importance during e season of Lent, and e Church calls on us to seek at mercy during e entire Lenten season wi reflection, prayer and penance. Ash Wednesday is not a Holy Day of Obligation, but all Roman Caolics are encouraged to attend Mass on is day in order to mark e beginning of e Lenten season. During Mass, e ashes made by burning e blessed palms of Palm Sunday from e previous year, are blessed and sprinkled wi holy water. Then e faiful come forward to receive em as e priest dips his right umb in e ashes and makes e Sign of e Cross on each person's forehead, saying, "Remember, man, you are dust, and to dust you shall return" The Church calls us to fast and abstain from meat to emphasize e penitential significance of Ash Wednesday.
